Access to Work Funding

Access to Work Scheme

The Access to Work Scheme is an amazing government program in the UK that provides financial support to people with disabilities or health conditions to help them start or continue working.

The scheme can provide funding for a range of support, including coaching, to help individuals with ADHD access and maintain employment. The specific type of coaching that may be provided through the Access to Work Scheme will depend on the needs and circumstances of the individual.

For example, coaching may be provided to help the individual develop strategies for managing their ADHD symptoms at work, such as time management, organisation, or communication skills.

How to Apply for Access to Work Funding

To apply for the Access to Work Scheme, you will need to provide information about your ADHD, including details about how it affects your ability to work.

You will also need to provide information about the type of support you are seeking, including the specific type of coaching you are interested in and how it will help you access or maintain employment.

It is a good idea to have documentation from a medical professional, such as a doctor or psychiatrist, that confirms your diagnosis of ADHD and describes how it affects your ability to work. This documentation can help to support your application for the Access to Work Scheme.

In addition to this information, you will also need to provide details about your employment situation, including the type of work you do or are seeking, any accommodations you may need in order to be able to work, and any costs, such as those required for coaching, associated with the support you are seeking.

The application is done online and should not take more than half an hour - please visit https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work/apply

Kindly note that wait times may be lengthy, but the DWP will get around to you.
