Take part in the most global meeting on ADHD where you can share and exchange experiences and knowledge about the best strategies of diagnosing and taking care of individuals affected by ADHD.
In keeping with tradition of the World Federation on ADHD, the Scientific Programme Committee and the Local Organizing Committee will work hard to develop a wide range of topics that will appeal to clinicians, researchers and academics, thus stimulating the exchange of knowledge.

ADHD in the Mainstream

The conference is titled ‘ADHD in the mainstream’ to reflect the rapid increase in recognition and treatment of ADHD by adult mental health services. ADHD is a common disorder affecting around 5% of children and 3% of adults, with symptoms and impairments that overlap with other common mental health disorders. The role that ADHD plays in the health of many adults presenting with mental health problems is now much more widely recognised, yet recent evidence suggests that in many cases the disorder still goes unrecognised or treated. Our vision is to bring ADHD into the mainstream, so that all mental health professionals have the knowledge and understanding to diagnose and treat ADHD, in the same way as other common mental health disorders.

The 2017 Scientific Committee has developed an exciting program that includes diverse key note presentations and a choice of seminars and workshops. Sessions will include internationally known speakers, seminars on evidence-based practice and practical workshops. While conference keynote talks and many of the workshops and seminars will be in English only, a minimum of two workshops or seminars will be presented in French at each break-out session. There is also a Research Day on 27 Oct.
